308 BELIEVING IN YOU is a standalone read with a happy ever after. No sex scenes or colorful language so any age group can read and enjoy. This series is about young Marines and the path they take to finding their happy ever after. In this story one of the guys finds the one on an on-line dating app. They get to talking and find out they have a lot in common and start to fall for one another. She is a kindergarten teacher living in Fort Worth, Texas. He of course is a Marine on deployment living in different countries. He loads the F-18s with bombs at whatever base he is on.There is only one problem. They discover that her Marine brother, Travis, is also her new love's best friend. That creates a big problem. I really liked Travis in his own story. However, in this one he is rather over the top with controlling or trying to control who his sister is dating or just friends with. I have a brother and I can't in my wildest dreams see him acting like Travis did. He almost ruined the story for me. I admired Ivy for doing what she wanted but she still allowed Travis' behavior to emotionally mess with her head. Yes, she had a father and why Travis was so overbearing was a bit beyond me. Ivy had been romantically involved with her best friend as well as Travis'. When they broke up it was harder on Travis than it was on her. Again, to me it was weird.It is a good story. A good bit of information on the Marines, what it is like to be in love with a Marine and what life is going to be about if you marry a career Marine. It is also about friendship, forgiveness, and moving on in life after what you feel is a major set-back at the time.I have enjoyed this whole series. The Marines seemed to be more mature than the normal early 20's guys. In this book a bit of that immaturity was evident. Maybe because it was not a war zone deployment. It is the same set of friends that continue their tours of duty as well as adjust to their newly wedded life. I definitely recommend this story as well as the series. The ladies are lovely and take their role as the wife of a military man very serious as they start making friendships that will last a lifetime.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author.
